Interview with Rosaura Delgado: All vaginas can open

Did you know that 40% of women have suffer pelvic, genial or vaginal pain in their life? This is also known as vaginismus or dyspareunia.

I did petrify when Rosaura Delgado (doctor and therapist) share that data in the chat we had the other day. Rosaura helps women to get rid of their pain in the vagina, and she really knows what sh’s talking about.

I don’t know about you, my friend, but it makes me sad thinking that almost half women suffer from genital pain in one way or another.

In all my years teaching belly dance I’ve had many students who came to class to feel free, relax, reconnect, and yes, some of them openly share with me they suffered from vaginismus. But I would have never imagined there could be so many.

I’ve always known about the power of bellydance on many levels when it comes to well being, like for trauma healing, just to give an example. But I never thought about belly dance being a good help to get rid of pelvic pain. It doesn’t surprise me though.

If you want to have a listen to the chat Rosaura and me had about this topic, just play it!

Note for English Speakers: The interview was done in Spanish, but YouTube allows you to select automatic subtitles in English. I’ve checked them and they are decent enough. You are going to understand the whole thing.

I really hope you find this interview useful and informative. If you know someone who could benefit from hearing it, please do share with them!

And if you feel like giving Bellydance a try, you can start dancing with me every month with the new Moon Cycle. Check out my program Bellydance With The Moon: 29 Days to Start Bellydancing. See you on the dark side of the moon.
